[YAROOMBA BEACH HOUSE]
Two Years after final drawings the client came back with a plan to continue with the drawings. The block had sit vacant and all the other hoses in the development had been built. the issue was now that the home had not made its mark on the surrounding houses and the original design did not react to the neighboring houses.
The privacy of the house from the hills and now large neighbors became more important
I renamed the house paper wasp as upon my return site visit the new neighbors became very excited at my presence with one storming down to know who I was and what did I think I was doing taking photos. It was like kicking a wasps nest with some very agitated residents.
The new home is also an interesting look into how a designers approach to their craft changes. This house was the first Walk Studio Project, and it was a shame it never went ahead due to kids and life happening.
